解説：

☆イディオム表現です> around the clock

☆ around the clock = 時計の周り？と思いきや
時計をぐるぐる回らせている間中ずっと＝「24時間体制で」

☆文字通りは「24時間体制で働く」
＝「あくせく働く」の感じにもあてはまる☆

例：

I am working around the clock but my pay check isn’t as big as I hope it to be.

「あくせく働けど、給料は思うほどではないんだ」

*pay check ：給料（給料小切手）
not as ~ as ：AはBほど～でない
I hope it to be ：私が望むほど
