Due to some students request, Math class this November was focused on SAT review. Math problems in SAT comprises 54 questions out of the overall 170 questions. In the class we review the basic arithmetic and algebra.
For those who are not aware of SAT, It stands for Scholastic Assessment Test, SAT is a globalized and standardized assessment of high school student's ability in critical reading, mathematical reasoning, and writing skills which are the core subjects in high school. It is said that these skills are needed for the students to be successful in college, and thus universities in America requires SAT as one of the entrance qualification requirements.
Actually, universities in Japan which provides English taught-University degree also require the applicants to submit the result of the SAT. Some of these universities are Meiji Gakuin University, Akita International University, Sophia University, Waseda University and some others.
SAT test outside America will be held on Dec 01, Jan 26, May 4 and June 1. In Japan, SAT examinations takes place at the following test centers.
